What is a Difference Day?

A Difference Day is an alternative company day out, where your staff give their labour for one day to make a difference to benefit others.

Is there a minimum / maximum number of staff required for a Difference Day?

Ideally there should be a minimum of 20 staff with no maximum level. For very large companies we can arrange a number of projects to take place in different places on the same day.

Can we choose where we have our Difference Day?

Yes, of course if you have a particular organisation you would like to help or specific area of interest your company would like to be involved in, we will co ordinate your Difference Day around your request.

Do we need any special skills or training to do a Difference Day?

Absolutely not, just a willing work force! We will have professional trades people on site to guide your staff throughout the day.

How long does it take to organise a Difference Day?

Depending on the size of the project and the number of staff, it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks to plan and prepare for a Difference Day.

Do we have to wear special clothing?

No, generally just wear old clothes and shoes, we provide protective suits for painting, safely gloves and glasses and waterproof ponchos for rainy days.

Do we need to bring lunch for our staff on our Difference Day?

We can organise packed gourmet lunches and drinks to be delivered for the staff to enjoy on site, so they can make the most of their time on the project.

Can we do a half day Difference Day?

Yes, we can arrange a shorter Difference Day if your company are unable to give a full day, however it is more difficult to find projects that can be started and finished in a half day. Ideally a full day’s labour will give your company the opportunity to really make a difference.
